Why We Built This Site
Michigan gives the public real access to warrant information, and the difficulty is knowing which office holds the piece you need. The 84th District Court keeps misdemeanor, traffic, civil-infraction, and ordinance records. The 28th Circuit Court keeps felony and family files. Friend of the Court handles child-support enforcement, and the sheriff and the jail handle custody and bond.
A warrant entry also lives in the law-enforcement system, which the public cannot search at all. Checking one office and stopping there is the most common mistake. This site maps each office, its phone number, and the step that follows, so a reader gets to the right place sooner.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookup: how a warrant lookup works through court case history, and what the search fields do and do not cover
- Outstanding warrants: why no outstanding warrant roster is published here and how a status gets confirmed
- Missed court dates: how a bench warrant is issued and what resolves it
- Charge-based warrants: how an arrest warrant is requested, issued, and served
- Traffic and city cases: how a traffic warrant or a municipal case reaches the district court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to any Michigan court, sheriff's office, or state agency, and there are real limits on what it can help with.
- Run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- Recall, quash, or clear a warrant in any system
- Post bond or accept a payment toward a case
- Arrange a surrender, a court date, or a walk-through appearance
- Give legal advice or explain how a specific warrant applies to you
- Guarantee that a phone number, fee, or listing is current today
Only the court that issued the warrant or the sheriff's office that holds it can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. This site can point you to the right office, and the answer has to come from that office.
Search Partners
Some pages carry search boxes supplied by outside companies. Those providers set their own prices and run their own services. When a search leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee, and that revenue helps keep the pages free to read. We do not control what those tools charge or what they return, and their results are not an official warrant check.
